Great jacket, many improvements from previous version. Except for the collar.

I purchased this jacket a few months ago through your French distributor and have now taken a few trips with it. There is everything to love about it and it is a great improvement in comparison with the previous version, especially as far as the weight is concerned. You stay dry, no matter what, the ventilation was fantastic in 38° Centigrades (Morocco) and it is very comfortable to wear. I'd give it 5 stars... Except for the collar. The diameter is very wide, for the average person, and in case of cold or wet weather, once you have tightened the elastic of the collar, it really wrinkles it and presses rather uncomfortably against the skin and neck. The wrinkling means that cold air will still get through too. The snap button on the collar only allows a single adjustment. It also sits rather low and tends to press against the collar bone when you close it. If this new version had kept the collar system of the previous one, it would have been just perfect.

Very impressive with some side comments

The second Adventure Ralley outfit I bought, the first one was the air version, and sofar so good or better still, it is an impressive set.
Some things I am missing on this jacket that is a miss or I miss something:
1: I wear a neck brace but I can´t seem to figure out how to wear it comfortably with this jacket. With the air version you just remove the collar and zip on the neck brace compatible collar system on the additional rain protection jacket. Any clues are welcome?
2: The hydropack hose clip on the front of the jacket is gone, so how to secure the hose and prevent it from dangling on my back?
3: The hydropack transparent hose could do with some form of insulation to keep the water from getting warm and tasting bad. Camel bag has these neoprene sleeves that might be the answer. Any other ideas might work as good or better?

Spend the Money if You Can!!!

The best jacket money can buy.
Spending this kind of cash on a motorcycle accessory requires serious consideration. I have other gear that I like but what swayed me was the increased CE-2 protection and Gore Tex Pro. Think about what your out-of-pocket expenses are for insurance these days it does not take much time to figure that staying out of the medical system just one time pays for the jacket.
I also dislike changing in and out of a rain suit. I always get caught out, it starts raining when there is no cover to stop and make the change, so then you get wet and it's too late. Ride on dummpkoff your’re already wet, and maybe cold too.
This jacket is bomb-proof. Its first ride out was a 21 day MC tour in New Zealand. The first week of the tour was in driving rain and high 30's. I had four layers on and I was cool but comfortable. I had one small leak in the stitching and Klim replaced the jacket immediately, Klim customer service is absolutely first rate.

    Simply the best!

I have now had my Klim Avdenture Rally equipment for a couple of months. All Klim products are known for their high quality. I was worried about the high price, if it would really match the price difference to its competitors.
The fit is perfect and the back guard and chest protector combined make wonders. The jacket may feel heavy before wearing it, but when riding it just feels good. Ventilation is extraordinary and there are many alternatives to vary airflow. This jacket and pants combination just has everything… including the high price. But it want disappoint you!
