How do I contact KLIM with questions?
At any time before or during the warranty process you have the option to:
What does lifetime of the product mean?
The lifetime of a product unfortunately does not mean your lifetime. The intensity under which the product is used determines this factor. Rips, tears, cuts, punctures, burns, accidents, improper care, negligence, normal wear-and-tear, modifications, alterations or use for a purpose other then what the product is designed for will void the warranty.
The lifetime of a product has typically expired when an item contains or has experienced multiple issues such as: tears in multiple places, frayed cuffs and hems, fading fabric, excessive dirt and stains, consumer “repairs”, broken zippers and findings, torn lining, broken and/or missing stitching.
What is covered under the warranty Policy on Boots?
KLIM BOOTS are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Aggressive running boards will accelerate the wear and tear on the soles of the boots. This is considered normal wear and tear. General warranty terms apply.
What is covered under the warranty on Helmets?
All KLIM HELMETS are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for five years from the date of purchase. General warranty terms apply.
Spare parts are available for individual purchase by calling into our customer service department at 208-552-7433.
Is material fading covered by the warranty?
All dyed/pigmented fabrics will fade under UV exposure (sunlight) over time. KLIM fabrics are highly UV resistant, but HI-VIS fabrics will fade at a faster rate than normal fabrics under the same UV exposure. This is a normal property of all HI-VIS pigments/fabrics and is not considered a manufacturer defect, and is not covered under warranty.
Is my GORE-TEX piece leaking?
If you are noticing that water is not beading up and rolling off of your Gore-Tex piece but instead is soaking into the face layer of the piece you may need to reapply a DWR treatment. You can purchase a DWR Revitalization product from your local dealer and reapply at home.
If you notice that you are getting wet all the way through to your base layers we recommend filling out a warranty claim to have it tested further or contact customer service at 208-552-7433 with any questions.
What is DWR? And when should I reapply it to my Gore-Tex piece?
DWR or Durable Water Repellent, is a coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water-resistant on the face fabric of your Gore-Tex piece. The DWR can start to wear off over time for a number of reasons but the most common is because it needs to be washed and reactivated in the dryer. Smoke, exhaust, dirt and dust can cause your item’s DWR to not work properly.
To test the DWR on your item make sure it is completely dry, spray it with water from a bottle or sprinkle some on with your hands. If it beads up and rolls off the gear, you're good-to-go. If the water soaks in quickly, it is time to re-apply the DWR.
KLIM and GORE-TEX recommend spray-on DWR treatments like Revivex. This type of DWR is heat-activated. You spray it on your garment's exterior after the wash cycle and put it in the dryer like normal. Follow the instructions on the bottle. Wash-in DWR treatments are not recommended as they coat all surfaces with the DWR and can negatively affect comfort and performance.
How should I care for the leather on my piece?
Always be sure to follow the washing recommendations on the care tags of your item.
Never use cleaning products that contain bleach, such as Oxiclean. Instead use a mild detergent and rinse twice. You will want to avoid drying your leather pieces under high heat.
Also, with leather pieces you will need to condition the leather as needed to keep it from stiffening, tearing, crumbling and cracking.
Why do I need to wash my garment before sending it in?
Making sure that your item is washed and is a Federal Regulation for the safety of the seamstresses.
Please be sure that your item is free of any dirt, hair, and odor before sending it in to avoid a $50 cleaning fee. Please see our cleaning instructions by clicking on the link http://www.klim.com/Customer-Care/Care-Instructions/ or refer to the care tags on your item.

2. If the product is not repairable, or if the cost of repairing the item exceeds the cost of a new one, we will replace it at our discretion.
Note: Many of our customers become very attached to their KLIM products, and do not want us to exercise the option to replace. If your KLIM product has special memories attached to it that make it irreplaceable to you, please let us know.

Rips, tears, burns and punctures can occur during normal use and are not covered under the terms of the warranty. To assist you in keeping your product in optimal working condition, we offer a variety of repairs for some of our gear. Contact us and we will be happy to discuss your options.
Can I get repairs done on an item I’ve been in an accident in?
Items that have been in a crash or accident are handled on an individual basis. Please contact customer service for more information at 208-552-7433.
Can I get my gear altered or tailored?
We are limited to the alterations that we can perform especially if it alters the design of the piece due to GORE-TEX certification and availability of parts.
Due to the technical fabrics and parts used on our Adventure Motorcycle Riding gear we are unable to perform any alterations on these pieces at this time.
Do alterations void my warranty?
We understand that individuals may, on occasion, wish to tailor their products to suit their needs. If something should fail which is unrelated to any alterations, KLIM will stand behind our products, provided that the product is being used as intended. If the product is replaced due to a warranty issue unrelated to the alteration KLIM will not refund any alteration costs.
For a list of alteration facilities in your area, please visit the GORE-TEX© website. Use of a facility that is not Gore-Tex certified does void the warranty in the area of the alteration.
How long will it take if I send my product in for warranty evaluation and/or repair?
Our typical turnaround time is five days from the time we receive the item in house for warranty evaluation and ten days for non-warranty repairs.
If you have elected for a photo evaluation prior to sending your item in you will receive an evaluation within five days.
International warranties have a ten day processing period.
How are shipping Costs Handled?

KLIM will cover the return shipping costs. Please ensure that you ship the product using a carrier that can provide you with tracking information and proof of delivery. Customers are responsible for their product until we sign for its delivery.
