ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Supports the accounting function of the business including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Responsible for the management of the organizations warehouse in line with the organization policies
- Assess the availability of space and prepare stacking/storage plans prior to programming/contingency commodities arrivals.
- Carry out regular scheduled physical warehouse checks of inventory
- Prepare all procedures necessary for proper product disposal
- Produce regular inventory reports and stock positions.
- Continually maintain a strong commitment to quality products and customer service while maintaining company profitability
- Responsible for warehouse operations and efficiencies
- Conduct performance appraisals for all warehouse employees
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards using all resources and support - available
- Correspond and develop relationships with suppliers
- Verify, track and account for all materials and merchandise involved with sustaining and productivity of our operation
- Arrange the movement of products and resources for the warehouse to the point of  destination
- Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met. 
- Establishes operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current
- Researches inventory discrepancies and makes adjustments on system as necessary
- Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
- Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities, such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
- Screens and hires warehouse personnel and issues work assignments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or have equivalent training and experience, and at least five (5) years of warehouse experience, with at least two (2) years of supervision, production planning or supply chain management experience.  This position requires an individual that strives on service to co-workers, clients and others. Must have good written skills, and good familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and inventory control systems. This position requires physical demands of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Completes assignments in functional area supporting department objectives and management decisions. Coordinates cross functional efforts to resolve manufacturing issues in projects. Demonstrates the ability to compromise and reach consensus, and resolves conflicts within area of responsibility.

KEY MEASUREABLES

-On time processing of data shipments.
- Percent of labor to packages shipped.
- Percent of variance of inventory.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT

-Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
