I grew up in a small town in the Southern Interior of BC with two brothers and one sister. I come from a Mennonite background, and have a huge family (over 40 cousins on one side). We are all very close, and although we live far apart we have several family reunions each year. I currently live in Castlegar, BC with my spouse and our three dogs.
My love for speed started when I was 4 and my dad brought home my first dirtbike. I spent summers riding in the mountains with my family or across the street on our homemade motocross track. In the winter I skied at the local skihill, and competed in downhill racing.
When my love of horsepower crossed paths with my love for snow, an addiction was born.
Last fall I built my first mod sled with the help of Twisted Turbos Canada. Throughout the season many of my evenings were spent wrenching and tuning on my machine, but I couldn’t imagine having a better hobby.
I started getting into hillclimbing fairly recently, and only because I felt that I had to support to challenge myself to that extreme. I love the adrenaline rush and the excitement of cresting out the top of a technical, consequential climb, and feeling like there is no challenge too great.
The best part about riding for me is the relationships I have built with my riding crew. There is a trust between snowmobilers in the backcountry that you won’t find in any other area of life. I am grateful to have the best riding partners and support crew I could ever ask for.
