Erzberg 2014: KLIM’s German Boy Wonder stirs up Pros!
KLIM- backed Manuel Lettenbichler on his KTM 250 EXC is the youngest ever finisher in the prestigious Red Bull Hare Scramble.
At only 16 years of age, the son of German Offroad-Legend Andy Lettenbichler finished a fantastic 18th, with his father sharing the podium with Jonny Walker and Graham Jarvis.
Out of 500 starters from 40 nations, only 31 were able to reach the finish line of the world´s hardest Enduro event at the infamous Erzberg in Austria.
Manuel Lettenbichler was ranked 55th in the ultra- fast prologue and had to start from the second row, one minute after the top 50 riders. He managed to complete the race after only 3hrs 20min, roughly 1hr 50min behind winner Jonny Walker (UK), sharing the finisher´s circle with the likes of Graham Jarvis (UK), Alfredo Gomez (Spain), Dougie Lampkin (UK), Cory Graffunder (CAN) and his proud father, Andi Lettenbichler.
After some years of trials- riding, this is Manuel´s only second year in Hard Enduro- so expect a lot more to come!
