Women's Savanna Gear: Heather Lewis Review

My first impression as I put on the pants was .... YES!!!! Finally a girls pant that looks and feels comfortable. I have been riding since I was 8 years old. I have been wearing men's gear starting in my teens. I have always had to wear gear that is built for a man, and gear that makes me look like a man. Well I am truly satisfied that KLIM has stepped up and produced a durable women's line that not only looks good but is built to last... pardon the pun, but it is true. Most women's gear is built to look pretty but is made of less quality material. It usually has cool colors and pretty swirls, but when I ride in them they tend to not stretch where I need them to stretch and they tear as soon as I fall over on the bike. The Zipper pocket is a handy place to hold my lipstick and eyeliner and yes my Kate's Bar. I can wear my knee braces with enough flexibility in the pants to not get bound up and the jersey is comfortable without the bulk of extra material. I would recommend this line of gear to any friend.

About Heather -
Heather Lewis has been riding dirt bikes from a very early age. Her family was out in the desert riding and racing every weekend growing up. Starting out on a Honda ATC and graduating to a Kawasaki KDX80, she used the bike to get out away from camp and explore, even when she wasn’t supposed to. She also raced District 37 desert and enduros but found her desire to help other riders and “be nice” cut into any competitive drive she had, so a lack of trophies was not a reflection of skill on the bike. But for fun she has competed all over the United States and in Mexico even winning the treacherous Tecate Hare Scrambles on a particularly difficult course. Always being challenged in skill level from her husband, she is a wealth of knowledge on how to ride efficiently and safely, especially on bikes that are not considered “girl’s bikes.”
