Emilie Moreshead - Riders Report

The next sponsor for this event that I would like to introduce is one that came in EXTREMELY handy for the level one class held in Salen. The weather was pretty dismal when I looked out the window over my morning coffee. A steady rain was falling and there weather forecast said rain down low and blizzard conditions up high. I was tired from traveling halfway around the world, not sleeping much and having a full class of the day before. Had the day been about riding for pleasure I might have canceled it!! But I had a few ladies whom I knew were waiting excitedly and anxiously to learn more about controlling their machines. I opened the door to the drying room and immediately thanked my lucky stars that I had KLiM gear. Not only had my gear kept me warm and dry from the blizzard we had faced the day before but it hadn’t gotten soaked through so it was completely dried and ready to protect me yet again. When your hobby becomes a job and people depend on you to be able to perform in some brutal conditions is when you REALLY appreciate the gear you have!! I got geared up and headed out for one of the more rewarding days of clinic teaching I’ve ever had and a whole lot of giggles and smiles with some women whom I think are now completely hooked on the sport!

I started working with Klim just two years ago and every time I put on their gear, sunny and warm days where breathable gear is important to blizzard and cold days when protection and dryness is important, I am thankful for my path that led me to Klim. I honestly can’t say enough good things about their gear! It fits me amazingly well; it’s always tough to find women’s gear that is actually designed for women. This year they had a more aggressive line for the ladies that focused on the needs of the aggressive back country rider and they brought us a shell coat and uninsulated pants. They have continued to offer very high quality gear, even in their women’s line, and have a different styles and colors to choose from. Their commitment to sticking with quality keeps their line-ups more focused rather than wide-spread but I will take that any day if I know I can depend on their gear on those days that I am committed to riding and coaching despite the weather!

Attached are Edvard Lundberg and myself warm and dry after a day of riding in the rain! (you can see the water beading up on my pants still after a LONG day on the snow!)
