Ross Martin is fired-up after the weekend at the Amsoil Championship Snocross Races at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN. Martin had a good start in Friday Night's Pro Open Final but he came off his sled however he jumped back on and fought back hard to finish 7th.
The real story is the epic battle in Saturday's Pro Open Final. Martin qualified 3rd earning a front row start in the Final. He rocketed off the line taking the clear holeshot, found his line and flew lap after lap clocking a 2.4 second lead on the competition by lap 8. At about three quarters of the way through the final the epic
battled began between Martin and Hibbert. The lead went back and forth all the way to the checkered. Ross ultimately finished on the podium with a 2nd.
"It was an incredible race! I am super happy with how the sled is running and I had
a great start. I am stoked to be up here!" said Martin
Our Pro Lite Racer James Johnstad - After just 3 days of practice since coming back from his collar bone break Johnstad was a little rusty and ended up coming up through the LCQ earning a second row start for Friday Night's Pro Lite Final. He finished 12th.
However Saturday he came back with a vengeance! James qualified first for the final after rounds, he pulled the holeshot and never relinquished the lead - Winning the Pro Lite Final!
"It was great to see James back on top of the box! With his collar bone injury James has only been able to run 3 Finals and he has won 2 out 3. Not to shabby! "said a pretty fired-up Team Owner, Scott Judnick.
Next on the agenda is Aspen, Colorado for the ESPN Winter X Games Jan 23rd-26th Hope to see you there!
