Cole Willford - World Champion RMSHA Racer
The Rocky Mountain States Hill Climb Association (RMSHA)
http://www.rmsha.net/ is kicking off their 2014 race season February 14-15 in Bear Lake Idaho. Klim sponsored athlete and World Champion Cole Willford # 252 can’t wait to get the season under way. Competitive racers spend all year preparing to race up some of the knarliest mountains the western states have to offer, including the world championship hill in Jackson hole.
Competition is tough in every class of the RMSHA circuit and racers who are committed to preparation and training generally come out on top. Watching these athletes wrangle sleds up steep slopes in nasty terrain is always fun to watch. There is never a lack of excitement as they race up the mountain through a gated course while being timed. The fastest racer in each class takes home the prize. This can be a great way to spend the day with your family. Many of the competitive racers in the circuit today race because they were exposed to hill climbing while they were young. Cable Willford, Cole Willford’s brother races as well and both racers are following in their father’s footsteps. A complete racing schedule can be found on the RMSHA website. Races can be followed live online at
