As the roar of the 2013-14 RMSHA Hillclimb Circuit quiets down, our KLIM sponsored athletes are left standing tall.
The Grand Targhee Hillclimb wrapped up the events and the season results are in! Of all our successful KLIM athletes, Erin Beukelman slammed through the competition to dominate the #1 spot in three events: 800 Improved Stock, 1000 Improved Stock, and 700 Mod. “This is one of my best finishes I’ve ever had,” Beukelman reports. Also pulling into 1st places were KLIM athletes Luke Rainey in the 700 Stock, David Sharp in Pro Master Stock, and Kaycee Balls in the Women’s Mod.
Despite a mediocre start, Beukelman found the winning sled setup and after the Jackson Hole Hillclimb, he took off. Not only did Beukelman cruise to the three season first places, he prevailed for a 2nd in 800 Mod and a 3rd place in 800 Stock.
Competition has been “as tough as it’s ever been… The competition within the Polaris team right now is unreal,” Beukelman says. Keith Curtis, a Klim athlete, secured 1st place in the 600, 800, and 1000 Stock, as well as the 900 and Open Mod. Athletes need to be at the top of their game. “If you make the tiniest of mistakes, you might not make it in the top five,” notes Beukelman.
Despite what can be long, cold, and sometimes wet days on the hill for some, Beukelman firmly believes in KLIM keeping him confident. “When you pull up to the starting line, you’re just as dry and comfortable as when you got dressed that morning,” he says, using the
Revolt Pullover for racing and wearing the
Valdez in the backcountry. “There’s definitely nothing else I’d wear,” Beukelman proclaims, and with his winning sled setup, this is the, “first time that I am already looking forward to next year.”
Congratulations to all our KLIM athletes on a season well-dominated! We are looking forward to supporting you in another exciting hillclimb season.
