Great pants, but hard on the knees if you're tall
by Georgianna K Wood
I've been riding with my Klim Altitude pants for a little over a year, both as a daily commuter, and on off-road tours. What I like about them is that they are truly waterproof, even in the crotch, and the leather inside the knee makes a huge difference for gripping the shroud / tank when up on the pegs. I also like the low front waist for comfort while seated on the bike. The downfall, and this is a big one for me, is the length. Klim added 4" of length, but it's all below the knee. What happens for me is the knee pad is pulled hard against my knee, and after an hour or so my knees are killing me. I wear a size 10, and have a 33" inseam. My ask of Klim would be to distribute the extra 4" with options for both 2" above the knee, and 2" below the knee.
