* All dyed/pigmented fabrics will fade under UV exposure (sunlight) over time. Klim fabrics are highly UV resistant, but HI-VIS fabrics will fade at a faster rate than normal fabrics under the same UV exposure. This is a normal property of all HI-VIS pigments/fabrics and is not considered a manufacturer defect.

I would buy it again.

I have put 3k miles on with this jacket, it's comfortable and lives up to the name on the chest. I have been over mt passes (spring time) when it's 40* when I hit the road and 80* on my way home. The vents are great. water protection is spot on too.
Great jacke that would be perfect but for the collar

Love everything about the jacket, almost... After 1500 miles here is what I've learned. The vents are amazing and the airflow really surprised me. The fit is "athletic" which I really like and the stretch Gore-tex is in all the right places. Here's my gripe, and it's not a small one, the collar is horrible. You can't leave it open or it will slap your helmet, and snapped up it binds with my Bell full face and hits my adams apple, not comfortable it seems in any configuration.
Great! Small but....

Love this jacket... just came from a 4000 km ride through rain and sun I did not feel a touch of wet! Awesome. Small gripe though. After a while my neck started to get rubbed from the jacket collar. When standing the jacket does not rub on my neck but when seated on the bike the relative stiffness of the jacket pushes it up towards my neck and so I ended up leaving the jacket undone and folding the collar down into the jacket. Problem solved. Might just be me! Otherwise stellar build quality. The venting is spot on and feels like I'm armoured up!
+ Quality, - Fit and snaps

A big step up in quality and protection, worthy of it's price point. Weather adaptation (hot, cold, wet) all work great. I would disagree with another claim that this is an "athletic" fit. The Italian brands are, this fits me more roomy than I'd like unless I'm layering up a lot. My real complaint (like others) is the collar. Hot or cold I really prefer some neck protection from rocks and bugs, and this one just slumps too low. The snap on my collar is already getting weak after just one year. Snaps just don't belong on a motorcycle jacket... where you might have GLOVES on. Bottom line: I feel very protected from both weather and impact. I just don't dig the fat-guy fit and a couple details.
Awesome jacket from super critical person

I completely agree with the review that this jacket only has one flaw, the neck collar under the chin. In the next generation it would be great to cut a U-shape into it and add a few layers of the black leather that wraps the back continues to the front (rightfully we will wear through the first layer pretty quick, plus three layers will be softer). This jacket is a little longer in the torso and sleeve which is exactly what i was looking for. The zippered pocket on the left sleeve is AWESOME! I keep my garage card reader badge in it. This is a high quality jacket from the armor to the fabrics to the stitching and quality. I am a KLIM fan for life. Worth the extra money with one super minor improvement item
Excellent jacket. My new favorite. Might even be 4 season in NW Florida

The jacket feels safe. The armor sits where it's supposed to (when zipped all the way up - when opened more than 12-15cm, the shoulders slip back a bit), and the slide resistant fabrics fall exactly where they should, when the fitting straps are tightened appropriately. The jacket has proven waterproof so far (Florida rain - both light drizzle and downpour), and it's rather fun to see water bead up and run off the waterproofing. I am 6'1" (185cm) and weigh 180 (82kg) (right now - I'm shedding that excess 20 lbs ASAP). A large in this jacket fits as well as any jacket I've ever owned. My only two complaints: 1, I'd rather have had either micro-velcro as a waist tightener or a belt; and, 2. the collar is a bit weird. I have trouble snapping it correctly, and it tends to wad itself up in the back. I have to wrestle with it to get it to sit smoothly against my neck.
Collar Hoods

Think that all of the klim Jackets should have a hood in the collar to go under your helmet in wet weather

I purchased my APEX jacket about 4 years ago and have traveled over 35k miles in it. I am a mountain rider and have ridden comfortably in temps from 30 to 100, though when it is above 90 I usually soak my T-shirt to stay cool. I really love the athletic fit (6'-2", 200 lbs). It is cut so that it fits without excess fabric to flap in the wind yet accommodates my e-jacket comfortably. The collar doesn't bother me since I never ride with it fastened at the top. The ventilation is quite good. I have never been wet from rain or snow. I have the hi-viz and over time it does fade and looks grungy in spite of washings. I think it makes me look like someone who actually rides a lot. Like all serious jackets it is fairly heavy, but when it is on and I am riding it is very comfortable. I think the fabrics used and armor are high quality and strong. All the zippers and velcro continue to work and there are no seams that have frayed. Bottom line... This it a great jacket. I love KLIM gear.
The Perfect Tourning Jacket for all weather conditions
John
The perfect Touring Jacket for all weather conditions. Needed in Black. I have one that is 8 years old, over 60,000 miles, and and it still works great! Would like to buy a new one, but the black is currently out of stock. Once it's back in stock, I'm buying another Black Klim Apex Jacket in Large.
Love my Apex, but Klim Needs to Standardize Sizing Across Models
Milo Geyelin
I love the fit and feel of this jacket: It looks great, and it feels protective. My complaint with Klim is how their jackets and pants don’t fit the same across the product lines. My Apex Jacket Size M, for example, feels perfectly; but my Latitude Jacket Size M’s sleeves are too long. I’ve had this problem with Klim pants, too. FYI. I’m not sure what Klim can do to standardize it’s sizing when they’re probably using different manufacturers. Still, I lucked out getting one of these Apex jackets. Better ventilated than the Latitude, which I reserve for winter. The Apex has too many zippers for really cold riding.
