Protection AND venting!
Bought these for summer commuting and dual sport riding
I'm an XL in most gloves. XL Klims were too small. I went with 2XL but they are still very snug. The wrist is especially tight to get on and the wrist closure strap makes this worse. Next time I will try the 3XL. This is all very frustrating because the Klim size chart indicates my hand size (10.5-11") should fit fine in an 2XL.
Super complicated construction. 30 something individual panels. Excellent articulation. Excellent venting through perforated leather and mesh finger inlets.
The main reason I chose this glove (other than venting) is that it offers a significant level of protection. There is Armortan leather on the palm and fingers, a Carbon/Poron knuckle guard, a Poron pad on the thumb and a Kevlar/Poron pad at the wrist. NOTE: The leather on the thumb is MUCH thinner than the rest of the glove but that's OK because it allows me to work a smart phone.
