Great Jeans!
by Jake
Bought these after seeing a buddy go down, spent a week researching different riding pant options and finally pulled the trigger on these. Well worth the investment, comfortable, cool, and stylish. My biggest concern was that they’d be too warm for summer days but that’s not the case at all. You can’t even tell they are riding jeans when you take the pads out. Good work KLIM!
STEALTH RIDING PANTS
by ARC
I love these jeans! They have a similar feel to a pair of Levi's except with impact protectors and kevlar lining. They are pretty comfortable for me to wear all day except on hot days-the kevlar lining does make them a bit warm. I do not really notice the presence of the D3O pads while standing or sitting, but these pants do have a bit of a 'heavy' feel compared to regular jeans. Wear a belt and you'll be fine. Most importantly, they provide all the protection of proper riding pants but are almost indistinguishable from a pair of denim jeans.
I crashed yesterday...

Speaking honestly, I don't particularly like wearing these jeans over some other more flattering, normal-fitting, normal-weighing pants. I feel like a firefighter when I slip these babies on, they're so baggy and heavy with all the armor and make me look like I've got big ol' hips.
BUT. Yesterday before I took a ride through the twisties, I threw these Klim Fifty 2s on because I knew I was going for a real ride, not just a cruise through the town to a coffee shop...
Long story short: too much speed on a downhill turn, lost traction and low-sided off the road into a rocky ditch. Helmet and gloves need to be replaced, but the jeans... DUSTY! THAT'S IT! They were completely unfazed, and my hip is a bit sore but that's it—I can't imagine what my hip would look and feel like if I didn't have D30 padding on my side.
So, while I don't like wearing these pants, they're damn good at what they do. Gotta give it to Klim on that.
