Stowaway Jacket
Clint
My stowaway Gor-Tex jacket is my go to cover all for the harshest conditions to protect me from wet weather. I ordered a XL so I could comfortably put it over my riding gear (chest protector and shoulder pads) when riding my dirt bike on rainy or snowy days. I also use it over my down jacket to keep me dry when Snowmobiling and as a windbreaker during spring and fall. Has pit zips for great ventilation. It has its own stuff sack built into one of the pockets which make it very small. It is something I never leave home without. It’s waterproof! It will zip up tight and keep you dry. You will not find a better product for this price.
I find the lack of pockets disturbing.

I was after this jacket for a long time. Yep... It needs more pockets. internal pockets and external chest pockets. Maybe, a stat card pocket too. Beyond that, the jacket is like any other Klim's flagship. It's an awesome piece of gear.
Best Shell I EVER!

Buy it! I’ve worn this coat for ten years and it’s the most versatile and awesome piece of technical clothing I’ve ever owned. It’s paper thin and feather lite - flawlessly waterproof and wind proof - so comfortable it’s like it’s not there - has brilliant double zipper pit zips - is tough as hell. I’ve ridden a 400 mile highway day in pouring ass rain with this over my leather and not so much as a drip or sneaky breeze got in. In warmer weather depending on the rain intensity you can adjust the neck and pit zips to customize airflow through the jacket while still keeping you dry. I’ve worn it as a winter shell for XC skiing, MTBing, dog walking, snowshoeing - depending on level of intensity this coat and a the right weight base layer of merino wool gives me dry comfort between 65 degrees down to 10 degrees. The pit zips are brilliant! After 10 years of constant use - the DWR finally wore off. Buy one. If it’s an XL and you don’t like it find me and I’ll buy it from you.
Wear klim, stay dry

This is not a cheap garment. Its worth every penny. Its kept me dry and comfy from wet days on the enduro bike in mid Wales to little league with my son at my local park. The packability is perfect the days in the saddle when the weather runs the gamut.
