Crash in the K Fifty 1
by Matt M.
I just wanted to give you guys some huge props, and share my story with you. I started riding a little over a year ago and purchased a pair of KLiM K Fifty 1 jeans from Performance Cycle of Colorado. I have worn them every time I threw my leg over my bike since the day I purchased them. This Saturday I had the unfortunate opportunity to test them out as I hit the pavement at nearly 50mph while trying to avoid a woman who suddenly came into my lane in traffic. I have no doubt that those jeans in concert with my other gear changed what little injuries I did sustain from "life ending/altering" to "annoying". Thank you for making these products and for putting the focus on safety, dependability, and reliability.
Great product, crash tested
Great jeans. These come in on the more protective side of motorcycle jeans in the market today, and that's a good thing. I low sided going about 40 kph in these and wore a small hole through the denim, landing on my hip. The D30 padding absorbed some impact and left me with zero bruising while the Kevlar lining held up after the denim wore through. I believe you get what you pay for in these pants.
Look great, work great
I've been wearing mine for several months now and have nothing but great things to say. Just got back of a tour of Utah and Colorado back country. They're comfortable and look great. I've had other riders look at me with a sneer wondering why I was wearing jeans while off-road. If you want to tear it up, be protected, but then go out in public and not stand out these are the pants you want.
I've had these jeans for over a year. I wear them every time I ride my bike. I ride everyday for 8 months, rain or shine. These jeans are very comfortable and if I take the knee pads out after my ride, I can wear them all day no problem. Luckily, I haven't any experience in testing them in a slide or accident and I hope I never will but I would recommend them to anyone who wants to wear protective clothing that you can also wear off the bike
