KLIM athletes kick burro at Shady Burro Enduro
Earlier this month in South Fork, Colo., Max Gerston, a Hard Enduro fixture and regular Endurocross podium finisher, and Matt Entz, a longtime Team Polaris professional snowmobile athlete and KLIM Backcountry Team Official Member, tackled the two-day Shady Burro Enduro like it was their job. The Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit attracts top athletes to some of the biggest and most challenging enduros in the country, including the Shady Burro, hailed as one of the best in the San Juan Mountains of the Rio Grande National Forest, with everything from rocky fields to deep water crossings and massive views from 8,000 to 13,000 feet.

You know what they say: Driving hundreds of miles to ride dirt bikes for a few hours is easier than driving to do anything else. That’s why when KLIM invited me out to ride this year’s Cow Tag Off-Road Ride for the first time, I literally jumped at the chance to drive nearly 1,000 miles one-way just two days before.
