KLIM athletes kick burro at Shady Burro Enduro
Earlier this month in South Fork, Colo., Max Gerston, a Hard Enduro fixture and regular Endurocross podium finisher, and Matt Entz, a longtime Team Polaris professional snowmobile athlete and KLIM Backcountry Team Official Member, tackled the two-day Shady Burro Enduro like it was their job. The Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit attracts top athletes to some of the biggest and most challenging enduros in the country, including the Shady Burro, hailed as one of the best in the San Juan Mountains of the Rio Grande National Forest, with everything from rocky fields to deep water crossings and massive views from 8,000 to 13,000 feet.
Black Diamond Equipment Recalls PIEPS and Black Diamond Avalanche Transceivers
Diamond Equipment recently informed KLIM they have voluntarily recalled PIEPS Pro BT, Powder BT, DSP Sport, DSP Pro, DSP Pro Ice, Micro BT Button, Micro BT Sensor and Micro BT Race avalanche transceivers and the Black Diamond branded Recon BT and Guide BT avalanche transceivers due to risk of loss of emergency communications. These products may have been purchased on Polaris.com or at a Polaris dealership. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled transceivers and perform a safety check to verify if the device can switch into Search Mode by following instructions on this website. If the devices are not working properly, please contact Black Diamond to receive a prepaid shipping label to return the recalled transceivers for a free repair or a replacement device. We’re very proud of the work all our athletes put in at the Jackson Hill Climbs this year, the hill was even gnarlier than usual and everybody showed serious heart trying to conquer Snow King. KLIM Backcountry Athlete Keith Curtis had a great performance at the 2021 World Championship, taking home the coveted King of Kings title on top of wins in 900 Stock, 900 Improved Stock, 900 Mod, Stock King, Improved Stock King and Mod King. We caught up with him to see how his weekend went in Jackson.
